Chairman and Executive Producer – Justin Beckett

 

Justin Beckett is the Chairman and Executive Producer of BlackTV24/7 and represents over 20 years of diverse entrepreneurial management experience.

Mr. Beckett has been focused on the Internet and technology sectors for over 10 years and between 2000 and 2008 he launched and successfully exited three Internet based entertainment companies.

Mr. Beckett is the Founder and former Chairman and CEO of Fluid Music Inc. (TSX:FMN) an internet-based music services company founded in 2004, when Mr. Beckett partnered with the producers of TV’s American Idol to launch American Idol Underground.com. Mr. Beckett led the company until its successful IPO in 2008.

Mr. Beckett also founded SkillJam Technologies, a leading casual gaming company, which he led from its inception in 2001 to the company’s sale to Liberty Media subsidiary Fun Technologies (TSX:FUN) in 2004.

Mr. Beckett also founded Music Gaming Inc, which he led from its inception in 2000 until the company’s sale to Intermix/MySpace in 2001.

Prior to his focus on the Internet and technology sectors, Mr. Beckett was the Executive Vice President of Sloan Financial Group, a diversified financial services firm.

Mr. Beckett is also a board member of Fluid Music (TSX:FMN), Aptilon (TSX:APZ), GNO Healthcare Services and Consonus Technologies, Inc.

Mr. Beckett received his B.A. from Duke University.

 


President and Executive Producer – Cecil Cox

 

Cecil Cox is the President and Executive Producer of BlackTV24/7 and represents over 15 years of diverse entertainment management experience.

Cecil is the Founder and Managing Director of Metco Boys Media, a convergent media focused production and consulting firm.

Prior to the founding of Metco Boys Media in 2004, Cecil was the Senior Executive and manager of Mundy Lane Entertainment, the Los Angeles based film and television company founded by Academy Award winning actor Denzel Washington.

During his tenure at Mundy Lane, Cecil was responsible for all TV, film, new media, strategic planning and day-to-day operations of the company.

He supervised the development of over a dozen projects for Mundy Lane including the award winning films, Hurricane and The Antwone Fisher Story.

He was an Executive Producer of Half Past Autumn: The Life and Works of Gordon Parks, which Mundy Lane produced with HBO and was nominated for 3 Emmy Awards and an NAACP Award.

A former agent with the William Morris Talent Agency, Mr. Cox has previously worked with a wide range of artists including actors George Clooney, John Travolta, Sharon Stone, Eddie Griffin, Raven Symone, writer Joe Esterhaus and music artists Bobby Brown, Ice Cube, Queen Latifah and Tupac Shakur.

Cecil received his B.A. from Harvard College.

 

 

 

Chief Development Officer – Michael D. Raeford, Jr.

 

Michael is the former Chief Strategic Officer and co-founder of Fluid Music (TSX:FMN) where he was responsible for the company’s product development and strategic planning activities.

In particular, Michael managed Fluid Music’s video platform, which featured videos from the company’s community of over 100,000 musicians.

Prior to Fluid Music, Michael was the Chief Metrics Officer of SkillJam Technologies, the former gaming subsidiary of online entertainment powerhouse, Intermix/MySpace.

Michael’s experience with Internet entertainment companies began at Music Gaming Inc., where he was the Product Development Manager.

Michael is also the Founder of www.grabstats.com (a leading online aggregator of business related statistical data) and www.siterapture.com (a leading online directory providing website reviews and ratings).

Michael received his B.B.A. from North Carolina Central University.

 

 

 

Chief Technology Officer – James Williams

 

James is a seasoned Internet technology management executive with over 14 years of experience developing and successfully deploying technology solutions for a broad range of companies.

 

James was formerly the CTO of WebVisible, a specialty search engine company. James’ accomplishments while at the company include, re-architecting WebVisible’s core technology infrastructure and the redesign of the company’s optimization algorithm.

 

Prior to WebVisible, James was a consultant to Google, where he was responsible for migrating the d’Marc radio advertising platform to Google’s complex advertising engine.

 

Before joining Google, James was the co-founder and CTO of Fluid Music Inc, where he was responsible for all aspects of technology development, program management, information technology and the recruitment and management of the technology team.

 

James received his B.S. from California State University. 

 

 

 

Programming Manager – Isaac Díaz

 

Isaac is an avid independent filmmaker with 8 years of relevant experience. In particular, Isaac augments BlackTV247’s unique ability to service the independent filmmaker community and appreciate their goals and objectives.

 

Before joining the BlackTV247 team, Isaac was a Project Manager for Fluid Music, where he assisted in the coordination of the company’s various programming initiatives.

 

As a freelance writer/director/producer, Isaac has participated in a number of independent film projects and brings valuable experience and a broad network of contacts to BlackTV247.

 

Isaac received his B.A. in Cinema-Television Arts from California State University, Northridge.

 

 

 

User Experience – Derek Young

 

Derek has over 6 years of online entertainment related management experience and is responsible for the design and development of BlackTV247’s user interface applications.

 

Derek was previously employed by Fluid Music Inc, where he was responsible for managing both the company’s user experience and graphic design activities.

 

As Fluid Music’s User Experience Manager, Derek was responsible for the supervision and coordination of the various online contests relating to the company’s partnership with American Idol.

Derek was also directly responsible for liaising with the community of independent artists whose music and/or videos were featured throughout the company’s distribution network.

 

Prior to Fluid Music Inc, Derek managed online games and tournaments for SkillJam Technologies, the former interactive gaming subsidiary of online entertainment powerhouse Intermix/MySpace.
